ORIGINAL STORAGE SOLUTION

For the “Adventure Chest”, we’ve developed a brand new compact insert with the goal of making set up, play, and clean up as easy as possible. The insert is made of 8 individual boxes from layered PET material. Inside it, you will be able to store all released Lost Ruins of Arnak content—and it fits all the cards even if they’re sleeved!

ONLY ONE PRINT RUN

Due to the more complicated and costly nature of producing an insert, we expect to have only one production run of the “Adventure Chest” (unless there’s a significant demand after the expansion is sold out). So make sure to pre-order the expansion if an official Arnak storage solution is what you need in your life.If you’re not interested in the storage solution and want only the expansion content of “Twisted Paths”, be assured that we’ll release “Twisted Paths” as a separate product in a smaller box and without the insert at a later date.

A NEW EXPANSION

Inside the “Adventure Chest”, we’ve included a fresh addition to the world of Arnak, the new expansion “Twisted Paths”. This expansion brings a brand new double-sided map that is bigger than in the base game and includes two new research tracks, each with unique mechanisms and components (like brand new temple tiles or new resources — dark tablets). In addition to new maps, the expansion contains new guardians, sites, and assistants, and also some solo content — Rival tiles for the new maps, as well as Purple Rival tiles and Rival Objectives, two mini expansions we’ve previously released online as print-and-play.

BIGGER AND STURDIER BOX
AND IT FITS!

The “Adventure Chest" box is bigger than that of the base game. However, at 39.7 x 32.7 x 11.0 centimeters (or 15.6 x 12.8 x 4.3 inches), you can still store it in a certain board-gamer-favorite Swedish-made shelf. We’ve also made the box out of thicker cardboard so that it can hold the combined weight of all Lost Ruins of Arnak content.

IMPORTANT: Please, note, that the “Adventure Chest” does NOT include any other Lost Ruins of Arnak content. If you want the base game or any of the two previous expansions, Expedition Leaders or The Missing Expedition, you’ll need to purchase them separately.

LIMITED AVAILABILITY

We expect Lost Ruins of Arnak: Adventure Chest to have only one print run. This means that after this first production, we will not do a reprint unless there is a significant demand from our customers or language partners.

The insert that is included in this expansion is, unfortunately, both more costly and time-consuming to produce than our other, more traditional, components like cardboard or plastic bits. So, in order to launch its production at a reasonable cost, we need to order larger quantities at once — which are usually hard to attain for the second and following printings.

This is why we decided to run pre-orders — so that we can do our best to make sure there’s enough of this product as needed. Please, note, that this is NOT a crowdfunding campaign — we will produce the Adventure Chest no matter how many of you purchase it this March. The pre-orders only help us adjust our production quantities to make sure we have enough to satisfy your demand.

We will produce extra copies of the Adventure Chest and will have them available after the game’s release on our online store — but after those are sold out, we do not expect to make more. So if you know that you need a copy of the Adventure Chest, we recommend you pre-order it.

TIMELINE

The pre-orders will end on March 31 at 23:59 EDT (or 05:59 CEST on April 1). Shortly after that, the game will enter production. We expect to start shipping the games in August 2025 — and the shipping dates will of course vary by country. The further you are from our two warehouses (one in the Czech Republic, one in the USA), the longer it will take for the games to arrive.

Q: Will the Adventure Chest be available in my language?
A: Above, you can find the full list showing which partners are localizing the Adventure Chest. Clicking on the language/publisher will take you directly to the pre-order page for your language partner.

Q: From the list above it seems the game will be published in my language, but there are no preorders. What should I do?
A: In this case, clicking on the language/publisher listed should lead you to the website of our partner, who will be publishing the Adventure Chest in your language. Please wait until they publish more information, or contact them directly with your questions.
Please note that we cannot guarantee there will be enough copies for everyone since the amount the publisher orders from us is always limited. Reach out to your publisher to get more info on how you can increase your chances of getting a copy.

Q: What if my language is not on the list?
A: That means our partner for your language has decided not to localize the Adventure Chest. However, you can still preorder the English version. Aside from the rulebook and the box, all game elements are language-independent.

Q: What can I do if the Adventure Chest is not being localized into my language and there is no shipping option to my country?
A: If the Adventure Chest is not available in your country, here are some options:

Q: If I don’t pre-order the “Adventure Chest”, will I be able to get it later?
A: We are planning a single print run—unless the future demand is very high. We will produce some extras on top of the pre-order numbers, to offer the Adventure Chest also on our online store after the release—however, there is no way of telling how long will these extra supplies last. Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee you will receive a copy.

Q: Will I be able to purchase it at my local store or my favorite online store?
A: Maybe. If the store purchases copies from us (CGE) directly to sell to their customers (you)! We are currently running pre-orders for retailers, too, so you can ask your store to place an order with us.

Q: I’m a retailer—how can I place an order for Adventure Chest with you?
A: If you’re from the USA, please head to our US retailer portal. If you’re from any other country, please, reach out to iva@czechgames.com.

Q: When can we expect to receive the Adventure Chest?
A: In Q3 2025. We’re planning on starting shipping in August 2025.

Q: What happens if I order more items together with the Adventure chest from the CGE store?
A: Anything that you order with the Adventure Chest will be held and shipped together in one package after the Adventure Chest is released.

Q: Is there free shipping? How is the shipping to my country? Do you ship to my country?
A: We provide free shipping to the US, EU, and Canada for orders over $100 or €99. You can confirm the shipping rates for other countries in our online store. For countries with higher shipping costs, we recommend contacting a local distributor.

Q: How do Canadians purchase this?
A: We found a partner in Canada who will help us process and ship Adventure Chest orders (and, going forward, also our other games). If you live in Canada, remember that you should order Adventure Chest through our European store (not the US).‍

Q: Will the promo cards be included?
A: The promos are not included in this expansion. English promo cards are available for purchase on our online stores.

Q: Is this a crowdfunding campaign?
A: No, the game will be published regardless of the campaign’s results. The pre-orders only help us adjust our production quantities to ensure we have enough copies to satisfy your demand.

Storage solution

Q: Will the insert fit sleeved cards?
A: Yes, we tested it even with higher-quality sleeves (100 microns) and they fit.

Q: Is the insert produced in China? Is this product still made in Europe?
A: The insert is produced by a company in the Czech Republic, and the entire production remains within Europe.

Q: What is the insert made of?
A: The Adventure Chest insert is made of layered PET material where the outer layer is virgin PET, and the inside layer (which makes up the majority of the insert’s mass) is made from recycled materials.

Q: How big is the Adventure Chest box?
A: 397 x 327 x 110 mm (or 15.6 × 12.8 × 4.3 inches). It fits snugly into a Kallax shelf. (You can see it here.)

Q: Can we store the box vertically (upright or on its side)?
A: We haven’t tested it ourselves yet. We are hopeful that the insert will work even if the box is put sideways but we don’t want to make any firm promises until we conduct some tests to confirm the insert’s effectiveness.

**The Twisted Paths expansion**

Q: I don’t need/want the storage solution. Can I get the “Twisted Paths” expansion separately?
A: Yes! We plan to release “Twisted Paths” as a standalone expansion without the storage solution at a later date.

Q: Is this the final Arnak expansion?
A: Yes.

Q: How big is the map board?
A: It is 69 × 69 cm or 27.2 × 27.2 in.
